Fantastic adoption attorney! We retained Ms. Talmud to support our foster to adoption process through Erie County Family Court. It was a very complex and contentious case and we needed someone who could navigate family court adeptly while fighting for the best interests of our family. Rebecca made us feel comfortable from the beginning with her knowledge of the system, the court, and the players involved. She knew when to push and when to hold back both with other attorneys and in court to achieve the best outcomes. Rebecca gave us very good advice in how to manage throughout the process, was supportive in our (many) frustrations, and was also candid with us on where we needed to compromise in order to move forward to the ultimate goal of being able to adopt our children. She was open and frank about what was going on which we appreciated greatly in a situation where we had so often been in the dark. Reached out looking for info on a step-parent adoption for Father's Day and received a phone call shortly after filling out the online form. I was asked to drive in for the consultation but I explained I was looking for information over the phone first, and I was willing to drive to the office to start the process when I was comfortable with the legalities, etc since it's a 45 minute drive from my house and I don't have a lunch break during the day. The woman I spoke to was understanding and friendly and said she would call back with a date, but I never heard back from them after that call.

I hired Rebecca for my divorce case. During the process I thought she was very professional and very accurate in her knowledge of the law. Her paralegal Lyndsay was also the same. Friendly knowledgeable and helpful. In the end I was granted a divorce and sole custody of my children and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

If you are a guy forget about your rights. Unless the mother is a straight up drug addict or alcoholic she will side with the mother no questions asked. She will take your time away and will force you to follow an order that was not signed by court in any manner. (My accusation was I gave my 3 year old daughter beer....when I don't even drink... )Then refuse your phone calls when you seek such papers from the court. Intimidating you along the way telling you that you will lose all time with your kids.Even if the mother is a compulsive liar and manipulative which was proven to be in court. If she(Rebecca) holds information that is court ordered to you she will go out of her way to hide it. I have been calling her since October 17th 2016 and she refuses to get back to me but will speak to my ex everytime she calls...dont worry fellas. Next time I appear in court I'm going to question every case she has been involved in where the father has lost time.
